In Defence of Marxism
www.marxist.com
The origin of modern day democratic socialist parties throughout the world is a direct result of the struggle for socialism in the late 1800s and the early 1900s. The elite class never surrenders power willingly and without the sacrifices made by revolutionaries fighting to bring about a more humane society then, we would not be able to enjoy the standard of living we have now. The theories of Karl Marx and Frederich Engels, and the later contributions of Lenin and Trotsky, are still politically relevant and essential today, especially if you are involved in the democratic socialist movement. In Defence of Marxism is a website dedicated to promoting that relevance.
